Guidance on the Data Protection Act for non-criminal justice agencies involved in racist incident reporting
Description: "The Data Protection Act 1998, which replaced the original Data Protection Act of 1984, places responsibilities on those who process personal data. The police and other public authorities are well used to observing these responsibilities, and although the guidance in this note is relevant to them, it has been produced with the needs of agencies outside the formal criminal justice system particularly in mind. It is designed to facilitate information sharing with the aim of preventing and detecting racist incidents and crimes"
