SHARING/OVERCROWDING
NASS policy on sharing and overcrowding includes statutory minima and various assumptions; these are covered in detail elsewhere. Where a principal applicant and dependants apply together as a family the allocation caseworker may use the workbook "Sharing11pro" to find the minimum number of rooms required to accommodate them.
To access the "Sharing11pro" double click Windows NT Explorer on the DeskTop. Then double click Group on Aphrb002 (F:). Then double click on Aspt-shr. Then double click on Sharing11pro. Once opened it can be minimised and stored on the taskbar for future use. At close of play close the device. It should not be saved, moved, deleted or modified.
The Sharing11pro is a protected Excel workbook, containing two worksheets. On each worksheet only the data entry column may be amended.
To find the minimum accommodation required first click the appropriate tab to access the sheet for lone parents or couples. The tabs can be found at the bottom left of the workbook below the worksheet. Only the C column may be amended on each worksheet. To find the minimum accommodation required first enter each family member in the C column in the appropriate row.
When each family member has been entered the worksheet will show the total number of bed spaces and minimum number of rooms required.
To clear the worksheet click on each cell containing data in the C column and press delete or highlight all the data-entry cells in the C column and press delete.
If the sharing/overcrowding worksheet and the super calculator are in use at the same time they will appear as one button on the taskbar. To switch between the two click Window on the toolbar and click the other workbook.
